About Chiswick Business
Chiswick Business Network began over a flat white in a small independent coffee shop on Chiswick High Road in 2016.
A handful of local business owners, many working from kitchen tables and Starbucks, wanted somewhere to meet other people doing business locally. Somewhere without the stiff networking lunches, formal elevator pitches or pressure to pass referrals. Just friendly, affordable networking and the chance to make genuine business connections.
Ten years on, the Chiswick Business Network has grown to more than 1,300 members on Meetup and over 2,000 in our Facebook group. Our members include accountants, designers, therapists, coaches, retailers, photographers, consultants and just about everything in between, most based in Chiswick and the surrounding area.
Chiswick Business is the natural next step. It gives our local business community a permanent home online: somewhere to find and recommend local businesses, discover workshops and events, share expertise and access useful advice and resources.
At its heart, it has the same purpose the Chiswick Business Network has always had, helping local businesses connect, become more visible and support one another.

We are deliberately local, built around real connections, real conversations and a business community that already exists.

Built by members, for members
Chiswick Business has grown out of the community it serves. It is funded by member subscriptions and sponsorship from Theo Ruby Digital Marketing, with no outside investors or corporate agenda. It exists because we believed Chiswick businesses deserved a dedicated place of their own.
Meet Jeannie
Jeannie Shapiro
Marketing and LinkedIn consultant, CBN founder
Jeannie has run her marketing consultancy since 2002, helping small businesses become more visible, make sense of their marketing and connect with the right people. Based in Chiswick, she founded the Chiswick Business Network in 2016, which has since grown into a thriving local business community.
When she is not working with clients, you will probably find her at a CBN coffee morning or co-working day, supporting Chiswick’s brilliant Sunday markets, or giving the Chiswick Book Festival a social media boost. Connecting people, supporting local businesses and generally flying the flag for Chiswick is very much part of what she does.
